Project Descripton
Monochrome began as an exploration of what remains when color is removed from an image. Without the distraction of hue, light, shadow, texture, and composition become the elements that define the story.
The project brings together portraits, architecture, landscapes, and everyday details photographed in different environments. Each image was created with the intention of finding simplicity within ordinary scenes and allowing light to become the primary subject.
The result is a collection that feels quiet and timeless, using black and white not simply as a visual style, but as a way of seeing the world with greater attention.

The Challenge
Removing color creates a stronger dependence on light, contrast, shape, and composition. The challenge was to create images that remained visually rich and emotionally engaging without relying on color to establish mood.
Each photograph needed to stand on its own while contributing to a consistent visual language across the wider collection. The balance between deep shadows, soft highlights, and subtle tonal transitions became central to the process.
